Alexander Girard Bikes!

Alexander Girard illustrated 'Tree of Life' bicycle by Electra Bikes

Would you believe I saw one of these insanely fabulous Alexander Girard bikes in Brunswick the other day!? YES it was parked outside Safeway. True. I wish I had had my camera with me.... :( It looked much cuter than these actually - it had a gorgeous little box-shaped wicker basket on the front...! SO cute.

I wonder where you buy them in Melbourne..? It's made by Electra Bikes in the US... actually in all there are 4 Girard designs... all super gorgeous of course!

  1. Oh, they are so cute! I want one!

  2. Melbourne Bicycle Centre in Clifton Hill has one up the back... the Tree of Life one in fact. I saw it the other day whilst getting repairs done. *swoon*

  3. Gorgeous Lucy, has taken my back to the Christmas when I was 11 and got a new bike. But it was never this cute! I have down loaded the catalogue so I can drool all Summer, the kid's bikes are so cute!

  4. Oh they're so lovely! You can imagine cruising to a picnic on it with goodies in the basket!

  5. If I owned that gorgeous folksy white
bike, I'd probably be too nervous to leave it outside my Safeway.
But I'd ride it everyday just to show off!
Happy Christmas Lucy, I hope there's a Electra bike in your stocking, or some such delicious designer goody!

  6. I too saw it at the bike shop in clifton hill and so wanted it (stood there oooh-ing)...unfortunately the only bike we were getting was one Arthur picked out to tell Santa about.

  7. I saw these the other day on a Polish site and almost posted them - aren't they wonderful! Love, love, love the top one!

    Merry Christmas to you!

  8. I want one! Dreaming of a beautiful bike to ride as it's cold and dreary outside...

I love your blog by the way. Amazing style and ideas.

  9. I LOVE my Electra! Am still looking for the perfect, rectangular basket to secure at the back.

Ps. I bought mine from Wooly's Wheels in Sydney.

  10. I have seen the Electra Amsterdams - both this one and the yellow version (with tulips! Love!) here in Canberra. You can get Electras all over the place here, and in fact I have had an Electra Townie for a couple of years. Great bikes and so very comfortable to ride!
