The Living Room - Melbourne International Arts Festival call for submissions

Look who it is! TDF favourite Nicholas Jones looking very intellectual and moody in his fab studio space. Ha! Unfortunately I don't know who the girl with the gorgeous yellow kitchen is. But man, she sure has a great kitchen. Love that chequerboard floor.

The Melbourne International Arts Festival is nearly upon us! This year the event celebrates the importance of home, with a series of exhibitions and installations based upon themes of dwellings, interiors and spaces we occupy.

The Living Room is a large-scale video work that will offer a peek into the city’s private spaces. The event hopes to collate and share a selection of photographs of Melbourne's private living rooms and favourite spaces. During the festival, The Living Room images will then screen at Federation Square, and visitors can recline in sofas and armchairs in the open air to watch the living rooms of Melbourne on the big screen! BYO cuppa. Awesome!

The Living Room is calling for submissions right now! It's a great opportunity to participate in the Festival, and to celebrate and share your own unique sense of style and home environment. From the austere to the cluttered, the humble to the ostentatious, The Living Room wants to see your place!

You can be part of this event simply by uploading your photo here.

Submissions close Sept 25.
