Harvest Magazine

A little while ago I received a lovely email from Imogen of Harvest Magazine. Harvest is a new independent literary publication that features emerging writers, poets and artists, as well as a sprinkling of more established creative types. They're based in Melbourne and are passionate about great writing, good design and sustainable publishing.

I am a little sheepish that is has taken me ages to finally get around to having a good look at Harvest and featuring it on the site... but finally the day is here :) Harvest is a beautiful publication - the content is thoughtful and carefully curated, and the layout is crisp, classic and uncluttered. All this, printed locally on lovely thick, creamy pages of 100% post-consumer recycled paper. Above all its so great to see emerging and established Melbourne creatives collaborating to produce such fine results!

Harvest will be published quarterly - the Spring issue is being compiled currently and should hit shelves soonish I imagine (no definitive dates on their website I'm afraid...). RRP - $15.00, and its available from all good Melbourne bookshops. (You can also buy a copy direct I believe if you contact them through the website).

here are some pretty page spreads / artwork from Issue One...

  8. I just had a little peek at an introduction to your magazine. It looks amazing. I love the art work and look forward to buying the forthcoming issue. Especially because my beautifull son Michael will have a story to tell in that edition of Harvest. I am pleased that he has an opportunity to be part of such a glorious magazine. My heart felt compliments. Nici.
