Little Sparrow is a gorgeous new shop in North Caulfield which sells all manner of crafty supplies, haberdashery, organic and alpaca wools, dolls, dolls clothes, wooden toys and good quality children's books. Much of the stock is local and/or handmade - perfect for picking up that unique children's gift just in time for Christmas!
I do always love fossicking in a good independent craft store... and Little Sparrow is extra special because it belongs to the partner of one of my favourite production designers Lance Davis. Lance has designed many TV commercials and TV series (including RocKwiz on SBS) and he is truly one of the loveliest (and funniest!) designers in the business. Lance designed and built the fit-out for Little Sparrow, utilising a lot of recycled elements including that lovely pressed metal detailing you can see.... and I must say that stunning cut-out screen behind the counter also looks a little familiar.... :)
