I'm sure all Melbournites would know the unmistakable work of illustrator and artist Kat Macleod... her stunning illustrations have been popping up everywhere in recent years - a delicate, eclectic combination of collage, hand stitching, careful line drawing and eye-popping splashes of watercolour and ink.
Kat's solo show entitled 'The Tiniest Spark' opened yesterday at fitzroy gallery Lamington Drive... must admit haven't popped my head in yet but it's top of my Saturday to-do list!

Ms Macleod is represented by illustration agents Jacky Winter (like many illustrators previously featured on this site!). The Jacky Winter Group operate the Lamington Drive exhibition space, as a way to showcase the work of some the wonderfully talented illustrators and artists they represent.

Hey hey.. thanks so much everyone for all you comments - so sorry it's taken me a little while to respond!
ReplyDeleteActually since posting this I have been to see the show and it completely surpassed my expectations! In addition to Kat's stunning work there was a video projection of Kat working on several pieces... the camera is positioned above her desk looking down at her hands, materials and pieces in progress... it gives such an amazing insight into her creative process... I was transfixed!
If you in Melbourne I highly recommend checking this one out. It is already very nearly sold out!
