Nick Dewar's illustrations have a comic-book style to them... I love the colour palette, the kookiness of the characters and the clean lines...
He also has a GREAT section where he outlines his creative process from start to finish and shows his working sketches, editing stages and final product. There's also some info here on his creative inspiration and advice to fledgling illustrators. He seems like such a good guy!
