Speaking of rural creativity and general gorgeousness... how incredible is the new ad campaign for Daylesford in Victoria? I am so impressed!
Great work by the agency and production company (stunning art direction!), and wow, what a brave move for the client! Pats on the back all round. Love it.
TVC for Tourism Victoria / Daylesford. Music by Melbourne singer / songwriter Paris Wells.
More of this, please, advertisers! If only the retail sector would catch on.
Wow! This is lovely ... and I'll say a brave move from the client. So good to see something a little left of centre, I hope it is successful for them.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI like the ad and I've never been to Daylesford but don't feel it showed enough of the beauty of the area.
ReplyDeleteHello, just wanted to add that the music is by Paris Welles AND Brunswick Women's Choir :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, keep up the great work! Jane
Awesome production, I love Daylesford. But... religious undertones much??
ReplyDeleteHey hey... thanks for your comments ladies!!
ReplyDeleteYes Lara I thought it seemed a bit 'Amish' after the first viewing... but then I figured it was mainly just the music...?
Anyway very pretty nonetheless! x
I agree, it was love at first sight with this TVC, and I just love the music! Now all I want to do is book a romantic weekend with boyfriend and indulge at the revamped Hepburn Spa ; - )

A great commecial but er 90 seconds??not a lot of airtime - but as the creative dept used to say its that good it only needs one airing!
ReplyDeleteThe ad looks really pretty & definitely got my attention on TV, but I was really confused by it. Maybe it's because I dont know what Daylesford is about. It seems more about Isabel?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous eye candy ad! - I want to go to a party where the driveway is lit with kooky lamps! just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI saw this ad on TV the other night and loved it. It's beautiful. Actually, all of the tourism Vic ads are nice - the ball of string for melbourne, the yarra "run rabbit run" ad. Good work Victorian creative brains :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that it's encouraging tourism to undoubtedly gorgeous rural locales.. but, um the concept isn't very original! Inspired very heavily by Coen Bros "Oh,Brother Where Art Thou?" I guess it's not the first time that's happened, though..
ReplyDeleteI still love this even after seeing it dozens of times.
ReplyDeleteBravo!
